The Business Award Goes To...
The Herndon Dulles Chamber of Commerce honored businesses at its 11th annual Awards Gala Feb. 4, themed "Dare to Be Great."
Olympic medalist honorees included Benita Fitzgerald Mosley, Nathaniel Lincoln Mills, and Michael Weiss.
The following companies and people were honored:
• Chamber Ambassador of the Year: Kristen Day, president of Meals By Day
• Committee of the Year: Hispanic Business Council
• Community Service Award, Chantilly/Centreville: Stu Damon, general manager of Westfields Marriott
• Community Service Award, Herndon/Dulles: Kerrie Wilson, president of Reston Interfaith, Inc.
• New Business of the Year: Kirk Forman/Element H20
• Small Business of the Year: Danny Vargas/VARCom Solutions
• Mid-Size Business of the Year: Alfredo Casta/Cascades Technologies
• Large Business of the Year: Julien Patterson/OMNIPLEX World Services
• Chairman’s Award: Charles "Chuck" Tievsky
• Business Citizen of the Year: Gary McCollum/Cox Communications-Northern Virginia
