Commended by Virginia General Assembly
VARCom Solutions is proud to announce that the Virginia
General Assembly passed House Joint Resolution 6031 on
June 25, 2008, commending VARCom Solutions President
Raul Danny Vargas. The resolution was submitted by
Delegates Tom Rust (as chief patron) and Chuck Caputo
and was intended to recognize Mr. Vargas for his
outstanding service to his fellow citizens and his

Mr.
Vargas commented, “It is a humbling honor to receive
this recognition from the longest standing legislative
body in the Western Hemisphere. It is a testament to

Commending Raul Danny Vargas.

WHEREAS, Raul Danny Vargas of Fairfax, a respected
businessman and board chairman of the Dulles Regional
Chamber of Commerce, is recognized for his outstanding
service to his fellow citizens and his community; and
WHEREAS, a Virginia resident for over 15 years, Danny
Vargas served his country in the United States Air
Force, including five years in Panama, and he is a
successful and talented entrepreneur, an experienced and
articulate leader, and a great supporter of the Fairfax
community and Northern Virginia; and
WHEREAS, Danny Vargas has served as the chairman of the
board of the Dulles Regional Chamber of Commerce since
2007, and he is the first Hispanic to serve as head of a
Chamber in Virginia; and
WHEREAS, an innovative and visionary chairman, Danny
Vargas has been instrumental in the implementation of
many initiatives in the community, including the
establishment of the Dulles Corporate College, the Total
Resource Campaign, the Asian Business Committee, the
Environmental Committee, and the Dulles Wellness
Initiative; and
WHEREAS, Danny Vargas was tireless in his support of the
Save Dulles Rail project, conducting press conferences,
media interviews, and a chamber-wide messaging campaign;
and
WHEREAS, Danny Vargas is the founder and president of
VARCom Solutions, LLC, an outstanding professional
marketing, sales, communications, and international
business development consulting firm that specializes in
media, presentation, sales training, and many customized
coaching and speaking services; and
WHEREAS, Danny Vargas worked for AOL as the vice
president of Global Sales, Voice Services, and for
France Telecom as the vice president of Sales and
Marketing, Network Carriers Division, Americas Region;
and
WHEREAS, a loving family man, Danny Vargas is dedicated
to his wife Arlene and his two wonderful sons, Daniel
and David; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, the Senate
concurring, That the General Assembly commend and
congratulate Raul Danny Vargas on his outstanding
leadership in the Fairfax community and as board
chairman of the Dulles Regional Chamber of Commerce;
and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of
Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for
presentation to Raul Danny Vargas, as an expression of
the General Assembly’s appreciation of his many
accomplishments and gratitude for his commitment to the
Dulles Regional Chamber of Commerce.
