VARCom President Joins Northern
Virginia Leaders in Celebrating Revival of Rail to
Dulles Project

Danny Vargas, President and founder of VARCom Solutions,
joined other Northern Virginia business leaders at a
press conference on April 30, 2008 to cheer the federal
government’s approval to move the Dulles Rail project to
the final design phase. The move was a reversal of the
Department of Transportation’s action from earlier in
the year to virtually kill the project.
Joining Vargas at the press conference were
representatives from the Fairfax County Chamber of
Commerce, the Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce, the
Greater Reston Chamber of Commerce, the Dulles Corridor
Rail Association and others. About the press conference
Vargas said, “It was exuberating to re-join leaders of
other organizations to celebrate the reinvigoration of
the rail to Dulles project. It demonstrates to fact
that working together, the public can influence the
process”. The Dulles Regional Chamber of Commerce,
which Vargas chairs, helped organize a joint press
conference on February 1st when the federal
government first expressed grave concerns over the
project. The press conference and subsequent calls to
action resulted in a large phone, fax, and email
campaign to help change the status of the project.
